The club
Find your people.
The club
The best bits of a hackathon and a hangout, combined.
Outernet Club is a community for students who'd rather build than watch another tutorial. We run hackathons, workshops and build nights. All of it online, and all of it open to anyone still in college.
Most of it happens on Discord: people share what they're working on, ask for help at 2am, review each other's code, and occasionally ship something genuinely good together.
Open to everyone in college
Everyone’s welcome
No applications and no gatekeeping. Here’s what you get when you show up.
No application
If you’re in college and want to build, you’re in. That’s the whole form.
Any skill level
Lots of people here are doing their first build. Nobody expects you to know it all.
Help at 2am
Stuck on something? Ask on the Discord and someone usually answers.
Honest code reviews
Share what you wrote and get real feedback from people who build too.
A place to show it
Finished or half-finished, post it to the showcase and the club will take a look.
People to build with
Find teammates for your next idea, or just company while you work.
What brings us together
What’s on the lineup
Hackathons
Open briefs and a short deadline. No theme to squeeze your idea into. Build the thing you keep putting off.
Workshops
Short, practical sessions run by people who use the thing every day. Bring a laptop, leave with something running.
Build nights
A voice channel, a few hours, and whatever you are stuck on. Company while you work, help when you need it.
Showcase
Finished or half-finished, post it. The server reads everything and tells you what it actually thinks.
The crew
Meet the organisers
Come as you are.
Build as you go.
Bring an idea, a question, or just your curiosity. There’s room for you here.
